Miami based designer Wade Hallock of Hallock Design Company works across residential and commercial interior design.  Hallock Design is a boutique design firm that specialises in creating unique and memorable interiors. One of their recent hospitality projects is the Icebox Cafe in Miami which boldly and proudly features Mokum fabrics.  

"Mokum is my go-to for fun and unique fabrics. The large overscale design and palette of La Palma drew me right into another world of the tropical 20s with the sound of bongos playing, flamingos in the sun, the smell of suntan lotion, and warm humid tropical breezes."

Mokum Design Director, Stephanie Moffitt, talks about the latest collaboration with acclaimed production and costume designer Catherine Martin. Stephanie discusses how the Mokum studio goes about developing a collection with Catherine who is based in New York. 

"I love Bengal Tiger. It nearly didn’t make the range as we had originally experimented with printing it, but we weren’t happy with the direction it was heading."

With summer on the horizon, Mokum alongside Australian outdoor furniture design house, Tait, have come together to celebrate the southern hemisphere’s latest and greatest in outdoor design. In a collaboration celebrating Australian design, the collections saw effortless assimilation to create ‘An Australian Outdoor Story’.

We love working with the passionate team at Cult and were excited to have the opportunity to talk to them about Australian design, the creation of NAU Design and what not to miss at Denfair this year.

Not only is a mastectomy a significant surgical operation it also leaves the patient with physical changes that that they need to overcome as well as pain they need to deal with on a daily basis while recovering. With the removal of the breast tissue and surrounding lymph nodes and raw skin, the ability to sleep or move your arms in anyway can be painful.

May is breast cancer awareness month, so we went pink for the day and hosted our first ever Pink Ribbon lunch to support the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation.

On an unseasonably warm winter's day in New York, we spent the day launching Majorelle collection in the home of Catherine Martin & Baz Luhrmann.
