A beautiful sprawling and contemporary property nestled in leafy Dural, Sydney is home to a busy couple who engaged Bella Curtains to specify and design curtains for the spectacular formal living, all-inclusive main bedroom suite plus private study/home office.

Window’s wow in Dural, Sydney
The brief was to create light coverage with the drapery allowing the outside to filter through the home. A more contemporary concept has been achieved that allows the client’s existing furniture and personality to naturally complement the space. The previous interior was dated and included a lot of colour and heaviness, so the aim was to lighten the space by filtering the sun.
The inspiration for the window treatments was based on a fresh coastal Hamptons influence - lots of naturally inspired pieces – raw fibres, tactile selections and softness.
James Dunlop drapery was specified for the entire project. “The fabric needed to be a natural fibre that would sit softly and drape beautifully and after looking through many ranges across various fabric houses to find the perfect fabric we settled on James Dunlop, Kyoto in colour Ricepaper” said Lisa Follows, from Bella Curtains. Kyoto is a 100% linen fabric, naturally slubbed offering an organic and textured look.
A predominately neutral palette was used to reflect the natural setting of the bush surrounds and allow the commanding Blue Mountains view to become even more of a focus.
